Laura and Fernanda are in charge of the customer care team. They support our guests and do everything possible to make you feel at home. They will receive you upon your arrival and happily solve any needs or questions you may have.
Our farmhouse is property of the Santa Clara de Derio Monastery, an order that lives the helping spirit of Saint Francis and Saint Clare of Assisi. The sisters are part of the team and assist with the San Miguel Farmhouse.

The San Miguel de Txorierri Farmhouse is located in the Alto de Artebakarra, which belongs to the Derio municipality and the Uribe Kosta region, and is surrounded by nature.
We’re only 3.5 km from the Loui Airport. Yet, when you arrive, you’ll find natural landscapes with lots of trees and where every morning you can hear birds singing and other sounds typical of a rustic environment. All this invites good rest and relaxation, and also uplifts your spirits. From our terrace or sunroom, you can enjoy the beautiful sunsets, with mountain views.
A few meters away, you’ll find the Santa Clara de Derio Monastery, a special white building that’s full of charm, including a beautiful chapel where the Sisters spend many hours in peaceful prayer and harmonious song. You may be surprised! If you’re looking for a place to find peace, pray and encounter God, you won’t be disappointed. The sisters are very friendly and you can approach them, or greet them in their chocolate and artisanal store to buy delicious sweets.
It’s an ideal place to go hiking, biking, walking or even to drive to the beautiful coast of Bizkaia, with pleasant places such as San Juan de Gatztelugatxe or the nearby beaches Bakio, Plentzia and Getxo. If you want to enjoy nature in all its splendor, the Urdaibai Biosphere Reserve never disappoints. There, you can see the famous left wave of Mundaka, where you’ll always find surfers, or visit the “Urdaibai Bird Center.” Next to it, you’ll find Gernika, the tragic historical site and home of the fueros of Bizkaia.
If you prefer urban activities, the Bilbao offers all kinds of cultural activities, not to mention its gastronomy and famous pintxos (skewers). Visit the seven streets of its Old Town, the Guggenheim and Fine Arts museums, its long riverwalk on the Nervión River, or lose yourself shopping around its commercial district. It’s an experience that you can’t miss.
We’re just 4 kilometers from the end of the 6th stage of the Northern Camino de Santiago route.
